Vicki Renn

Vicki Renn is a wildlife watercolor artist. Other favorite interests are photography and international travel. After graduating from Kutztown University, she enjoyed her thirty-one year career as an art teacher with the Milton and Shikellamy School Districts.

Her studio, where she paints, is actually a large roll top desk in the corner of her sunroom in the outskirts of Sunbury, PA. With a view of the woods, this watercolor painter works happily, incorporating many of her photos into her compositions. She has won awards for her work, and has appeared in many juried shows, solo shows, and group exhibitions.   Vicki holds memberships in the Susquehanna Art Society, The Lewisburg Arts Council, The Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, and The Society of Animal Artists. Her work can also be seen on the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society website, and the Artists for Conservation website, natureartists.com.

Vicki currently serves as Vice President for the Susquehanna Art Society.

Artist's Statement

Painting is a wonderful outlet for me. The common link in my artwork is what I describe as roadside elegance. The pieces convey the unassuming elegant lines, textures, patterns, and minute details that surround me. My hope is that my work will encourage the observer to appreciate the sheer elegance that surrounds us on a daily basis, and begin to look closely at what they may have assumed was ordinary and mundane. I am very grateful for the joy that art in general has brought into my life.
