Shane Kiefer

Shane Kiefer, a 2014 graduate of Bucknell University, is an award-winning photographer of abandoned places. He grew up in Mifflinburg and currently resides in Lewisburg.
For Shane, abandoned buildings hold memories of the past, and of the people that used to work or live there.  His primary focus is larger abandoned buildings that have been forgotten about, including hospitals, schools, factories, hotels, asylums, amusement parks, prisons, military facilities, resorts, and more.  Each of Shane's photographs tell a story, evoke nostalgia, and preserve the history and lost elegance of these buildings.
He is currently employed in Bloomsburg as the Director of Marketing at the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau, and works on a daily basis to promote the natural splendor of Central Pennsylvania.
