Jamie Jay - Biography

Jamie Jay specializes in design, but equally enjoys fine art. She nurtured her childhood hobby and stuck with it as her profession of choice – producing specialized art including package and fashion design, websites, logos, patterns, illustrations, murals, portraits, sculpture, and more.

Jamie’s outstanding career accomplishments include designing fashion accessories, costumes, home goods, and jewelry for Professor Wilkes LLC, packaging for Hershey Foods among other renowned companies, writing and illustrating several published books, contributing as a stock artist for iStockPhoto, Shutterstock, among others; completing large murals and foreground art for the Oakes Museum in Grantham, PA; taking the grand prize in the Oprah Winfrey Network Creative Mind Challenge with her video titled “Inspiration is Everywhere”, and acting along with displaying her sculpting skills on The Learning Channel’s show “Extreme Cheapskates”.

Jamie has served many years on the Susquehanna Art Society Board of Directors as Secretary.

Artist Statement

I’m always looking to put a smile on people's faces. I also like to try new things, whether it be a new art medium, or some other creative venture. I’m a kid at heart and my art usually reflects that having a lighthearted, carefree, and whimsical feel. I strive to accomplish goals that may seem unattainable and the results are usually very exhilarating!
