PictureCindy Dozpat
                                                Biography

Cindy Dozpat was born and raised in Bethlehem, PA, but has lived in Danville with her husband for more than forty years.  Her background is in secretarial/
administrative-assistant support work.

She came to the art field through the decorative art world, being very active in the International Decorative Artisans League.  She worked on walls doing faux finishes, murals, and stenciling.  In 2001, she was elected by the membership to serve a three-year term on the National Board of Directors, holding the positions of Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President, respectively.

Through the years, Cindy's interest turned to fine art, and she began her studies in oil painting with Philip Ferro, although she enjoys working in several different mediums.  She has also taken classes with Thomas Wise, Jeff Martin, and portrait drawing with Ruth Lundberg.  She is a graduate of the Art Instruction Schools.  She has won numerous awards for her work.

Cindy served the Susquehanna Art Society in numerous ways, including President, Vice President, and Receiving Coordinator.

                                                   Artist's Statement

I am aware of, and mesmerized by, the beauty and scope of God's creation.  I have a magnet that says, "He speaks to me in the beauty I see".  It is so true.  I strive to capture that beauty on canvas, to seize a moment
of life, suspended in time, even though it's just an illusion of the reality.
May He be honored by my attempts.
